Suminagashi or marbling is a stamping technique that is done by drawing shapes on water using a light paint that floats and does not mix with each other. The designs we create can be transferred to porous objects such as fabric, paper or wood to create unique prints.
With our kit we will learn the entire marbling process:
1- Prepare the materials that we will marble fabrics, papers, woods or other porous objects so that the pattern remains fixed and does not go away with washing, humidity or cleaning.a.
2- Prepare the water so that the paint floats.
3- Prepare acrylic paints so that they expand and do not mix in water.
4- Create different types of designs and marbled drawings in the water with simple tools.
